Proposed New Bridleway in the Village

Postby Admin » Thu Feb 05, 2015 6:27 pm

Did you know there is a proposal for a new bridleway in the village?

Well there is and it will make for a nice circular stroll and can be seen from the photograph attached.

Remember this is farming land so please keep dogs on leads and respect others on your journey when the proposal is agreed.

Does anyone know if the bridleway has been approved? The closing date for any concerns has now passed.

With regards to the proposed bridleway there have been a number of objections to the proposal and correspondence received in favour of the bridleway. As it stands at the moment the Community Council for Lixwm and Ysceifiog have written to the chief of planning at Flintshire County Council to request for an update of the matter.

Here is the response from the Chief Officer of Planning Services for Flintshire.

PROPOSED DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER

TRACK FROM FFORDD
GLEDLOM TO FFYNNON

Further to the Council’s enquiry a response had been received from the Chief Officer
Planning Services, Flintshire County Council advising that he had consulted with his
colleague and the decision is that the Order can now be submitted to the Welsh
Govern
ment for confirmation. All the evidence collated and used to determine the
Order correspondence in support of the order and objections received together with
any other relevant material will be forwarded.
The writer further advised that the submission of
the evidence will take a little time
to prepare and would advise the Council as soon as the Order and Associated
Documents have been sent.
Members were pleased to learn that this matter was being progressed.

So...did this get passed or not? It would be a great route.

The last time I walked down there I was greeted by a barking dog off the lead and told it was private land. When I asked where to go form there they said to go over the field towards the school or over a stile to the right....

I think the courts are looking into this with the help of the Ramblers Association
